Time for another update… I met with Dr. Rosenshein on August 10. We left that appointment feeling pretty good. Since then I have had three treatments with the new chemo drug, Topotecan. One cycle of the drug is three consecutive weeks of treatment (one day per week), then a week off. So one cycle is four weeks.

I met with Dr. Armstrong last Wednesday, August 26. I really liked her. Dr. Armstrong recommended that I stay on Topotecan and see what the CT scan shows. Dr. Rosenshein said I would have another CT scan after my third cycle of Topotecan. If this drug isn’t working as we want then Dr. Armstrong has recommended a clinical trial for me.

I’ve been feeling good other than getting tired more easily. Trying to rest more just because, and hopefully I’ll do better at that since the kids are back at school now.
